I went to the lovely Amy Jenkin's house to bring her some totes to help with her move. We made amazing fish tacos with lots of veggies and I felt like I was eating like a goddess.
We packed up as much as we could of her room then picked up my little sister to go shopping at Savers! I just love going thrift store shopping. It's such a surprise every time.
I love seeing shoes for sale that I thought were SO COOL in the 7th grade.
I love seeing a line of prom dresses that girls my age wore in 1998. I love seeing the people scope you out to see if you found the BEST hidden gem that store had to offer.
I love seeing dresses and blouses with shoulder pads and crocheted collars. I love finding randoms like a projector from 1967.
I love finding things like we did today- the SAME picture my mom used to have in our house (back when all the cool ladies decorated with Home Interiors instead of pinterest)
I do not live to thrift, and sometimes the only things I come home with include original Nintendo Mario Brothers game to play on our retro-duo entertainment system.
Some people find other people's crap and turn it into glorious works of art, home decor, or wearable fashion statements.
Most of the time I bring junk home and it stays junky and then I send it back to thrift land when I'm tired of hoarding it.
If I'm lucky, this is how MY day of thrifting looks:
Trying out the barely-used BLADERUNNERS! The original rollerblade brand. If they weren't a size too big I would have bought them. They came with complimentary elbow pads.
Every costume box needs this.

Last but not least, the best $.99 I have ever spent. Black tooth wax.
It clicked today that I'm really happy. Plain and simple. Not "I'll be happy when I lose 80 pounds."
Not "I'll be happy when my clothes fit again."
Not "I'm happy because I lost x number of pounds this week."
I'm just happy again. I can't believe what a difference my nutrition, supplements, counseling, and hard work have made in my life. I feel whole.
Sure there are still things I hope for in this life and things I want to achieve but dang, it feels good to rollerblade around Savers again and surprise my husband with black teeth.
That's the Stephanie I know and that's the Stephanie that I'd like to keep around in my life.

Love it! And you look great! I'm so happy for you!
