My jeans don't fit...but my wedding dress almost does!

I've attempted to go ride my bike about 10 times today and no joke it starts snowing again every time I go outside. This Spring weather is getting old.

So....

Instead I decided to post some pictures of myself in clothes that don't fit anymore. All the clothes that are too big are ones I had to buy shortly after getting married to accommodate my very rapid weight gain (26 pounds in 1 month to be exact)  It was horrible. I get sick to my stomach when I think about that time of my life and how confused and frustrated I was! The next year of my life was full of the same confusion, frustration, and emotional breakdowns and thankfully those outbursts are getting fewer and fewer.

I could ALMOST zip up my wedding dress. I'm about 12 pounds away from my wedding weight so maybe by May I'll be posting a picture in my wedding dress.  Until then, here's me in some clothes that are too big now! Unfortunately my "before" pictures are me in a sports bra and swim suit bottoms and those are NOT going on the world wide web.

This is a "goal" skirt I bought at DI for $4 last Spring. It fits now!

Old pants my little sis gave me...not sure I will wear them much but at least they zip up again

Something about the lighting in this screams BOOTYLICIOUS like I have  2 very very round butt cheeks

Favorite workout pants that fit now!

They look a little see-through but it's just the flash
I am feeling encouraged by my progress. I see my endocrinologist this week and can't wait to weigh in about 20 pounds lighter. I'm hoping I get her approval to continue what I'm doing and that she doesn't have to adjust my thyroid medication any more.

Get ready for my 200 party, only 1.5 pounds more to go!

  1. I know that we don't really know each other so if this blog goes private tomorrow I'll understand-but I just had to tell you how great you look. I'm someone that has lost 100+ lbs in my life and seeing these pictures motivates and makes me remember how happy it is to be getting too small for your clothes.
