Merry Christmas, I miss you Hollie!

After wasting a bunch of time trying to make my background picture just right I lost the chance to have a REAL Christmas Day post. Oh well. I have a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all did too. I have such a wonderful family. I had so much delicious food today that we won't even really talk about. At least Dan and I got a really awesome workout in today so I worked up a really big appetite for our traditional Anderson breakfast of crepes and other fine tasty food. Today I was really missing Hollie. We used to spend our Christmas breaks together, eating her mom's homemade cinnamon rolls, and lots and lots of Christmas goodies. I can still see her pulling up in her red car. I remember one winter we were in college and the weather was horrible. By the time she went back to her car it was covered in at least a foot of snow. One Christmas I went back to Utah with her and it took us 7 hours to drive from Idaho Falls to SLC!!! The roads were terrible and we just inched our way along I-15 listening to incubus and eating an entire box of Kashi cereal. We were both on high fiber kicks that year. After we finally got to Utah we went and got our hair cut and colored together at Bladeworks which is next to the pie. I spent that whole week with her and it was so fun. I was trying to transfer to BYU because I was just feeling like I needed to get out of Pocatello so she and I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what credits would transfer and how I could get into their music program. In the end it didn't work out but we sure spent a lot of time wandering around BYU together! Man I miss the girl! I have been blessed with many friends and many good friends, several people I could call a "best" friend but Hollie will always have a very special place in my heart, especially around the holidays. I am grateful that as we remember the birth of Christ, that I am reminded that not only did He provide a way for me to live after I die, but He also provides a way for me to see my sweet Hollie again some day. I miss you Hollie, thanks for all the years of laughter, chocolate milk runs, sleepovers, pizza, and hours and hours and hours of talking.

One of Hollie's senior pictures, such a beauty!

Such an actress! She was an accomplished actress and starred in many many plays.

Hollie was the Lead in BYU's production of Joan of Arc in 2006.

  1. She really was beautiful. Inside and out. I know she is smiling down on you and is so proud of all your accomplishments.
