Called it!

Do you know how hard it is to continue eating 1200 calories, all while eliminating refined carbohydrates, fruit, sugar, and grains? Oh, and also exercise 60-90 minutes a day?

It's become a way of life for me really, so it's not THAT hard, but it's definitely not fun. I'm all about letting loose for the occasional celebration or moment of complete emotional meltdown which leads to a piece of cake, a bowl of potato chips, or a few spoonfuls of peanut butter...those moments are the BEST.

Just like I predicted 2.5 weeks ago...I have not lost another pound! I've been the same weight for the past 2 weeks. It is a little frustrating to be working so hard and not see progress, but I guess for me the progress is that I'm not gaining, right?

I still do body pump at 5:45 AM MWF, I do Body Jam (mega dance workout) on T/Th, and walk in the evenings or on my lunch break if I feel up to it or if I've gone over on my calories. I really like the workouts that I do so they don't feel like a chore.

Weekends have been anything from hiking, riding bikes, or long walks. I am hoping to get out and hike today after work!

This is usually the week where I get discouraged, start cheating, and give up because I stop losing weight. Plus, I feel PMS-y which means I have a bigger appetite, more cravings, and I'm more emotional. I'm basically writing this post to psych myself up for NOT quitting this week- NOT giving up, NOT getting lazy with my diet, and NOT losing hope.

I've got 2 more weeks of dedication to see if my body will do what it used to do- have one big loss each month and then plateau for the rest of the month as long as I stay 100% the whole month. I'm cheering myself on and sometimes I ask Dan to cheer me on too because I want to give up and eat bowls of ice cream with him or just eat a dang sandwich at lunch!

I got this, right?

  2. Yea. You got this. Dude, if you can drag your hiney out of bed every morning at 5:45, then you can do anything! (In my humble opinion.)
