Date-Cation

I hit the 8 pound mark last Saturday. Wahoo!!!

Then I went to Park City for a weekday-date-cation. I got a SWEET deal on a condo at one of the resorts and when we arrived at check in they told us we were the GUESTS OF THE DAY and they upgraded our room to a bigger, better, more amazing condo.

Something came over me and I pulled out my coupon collection for naughty foods. We had packed up salmon, strawberries, shakes, apples, etc so we didn't have to be tempted to eat out (plus eating out is a waste of money!)

Our condo came with a full kitchen. It's actually nicer than my own kitchen.

Well one thing led to another and by Wednesday night we found ourselves gorging on a box dinner from pizza hut that included pizza, breadsticks, and cinnamon sticks with icing.

H.E.A.V.E.N. on the way down....and H.E.L.L. 15 minutes later.

Holy crap! Who knew that my old favorite foods could make me feel so sick?

We calculated the time it had been since I have eaten pizza and it was 4 months ago. 4 months!! Remember when I couldn't hardly go 2 weeks without some form of pizza?

We had a GREAT vacation and even though I'm pretty sure I gained a little weight after this vacation I'm not beating myself up and that in itself is a triumph.

I am trusting my body to do its thing and continue to recover from a wee bit of mistreatment. Today has been full of kindness to my body including salmon, strawberries, fresh peaches, sweet potato, zucchini, and a little bit of oatmeal sprinkled on MORE peaches for dessert. It feels MUCH better to eat this way :)
